nach dem 29. Absturz in einer Stunde hab ich es aufgegeben. Money Back! Shame on You! 30.August 2012, Installation auf einem gut gewarteten MacBook Pro aus dem Jahre 2009 mit OS X version 10.0.1 - also der neuesten Version Erst beim dritten Hinsehen gerade erkannt: hier wird Software verkauft, die nicht auf dem aktuellen Betriebssystem läuft: "Soundboard 2.2.0 was rejected by Apple because it was not considered a bug fix is not sandboxed per their current requirements for the Mac App Store. We will be resolving the issues and resubmitting Soundboard to the Mac App Store in the near future. Version 2.2.0 was released for all other users on June 25, 2012." Warum wird sie dann hier verkauft? Eyk Stein
This version of Soundboard is not useable on OS X Mountain Lion!!!!!!!!!!
Stable, fast, simple, nice look!
Great app, worked flawlessly for a local talent show. So much better than trying to use iTunes, where Id have to pay close attention to stop at the end of a number. Come a long way from cueing numbers with a reel to reel tape counter! Wish I had this when I was doing theatre SFX.
I love this app. Its great for how we use it for a company, but ever since Lion, we cannot drag and drop from iTunes into the soundboard. Please fix asap. Thanks!
Spent 50 bucks on this app and had high hopes based on other reviews. Plays sounds well but no way to use with multiple mics in Garageband, for say, a podcast. No way to use soundpipe to send the audio to garageband AND record voices. Wish I had known this before purchasing but theres not much information on using this application with an aggregate device.
I am using this for sound effects during a live theatre production. So far it has performed great. The ability to fire off as many sounds as needed, when needed, and have them play independently is fabulous. As of now, the only improvement I could see is in the fading. You set it to however long you want the fade to be in the preferences dialog. Then, when you hit the action key to stop the sound, it performs the fade before it stops. This is all great. What would make it even better is if, when right-clicking on a sound, the "When the trigger is pressed again:" setting could have a "fade out" with a slider next to it. That way, my howling wind sound could have a 5 second fade out assigned to it when I hit the trigger button, but my dog barking sound could have a 0 fade so it just stops when I need it too. Individual fade times on trigger key would make this a 5-star app. Other than that, the rest of the features work as advertised. Great app!
When I first purchased this program, my intention was to compare & test it in Live Sound Reinforcement / Production situations, and against other software based audio cue software. I found it difficult to even find trustworthy music cue software out on the market. I found two. This WAS one. I am using a 2011 MacBook Pro 13"/i7 2.7 GHz/8GB RAM w Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3…. more than enough for this software. It worked great for the first 30 or so times i used it. I created a soundboard with no more than 12 cues on it from a direct folder I created on the Desktop for the specific show as I had done many times before. Tested them all, and then tested them again. All WAS well…. Until ShowTime and I tried to open Soundboard…. opps…sorry. I sent a couple reports to Apple and Ambrosia support, but too bad Ambrosia support closes at 5 pm EST. I am in CA…PST. TOO LATE! "No worries" I think, as I AM in the HOT seat with 10 mins left till rehearsal and no Soundboard app. I then proceed to open my OTHER audio cue software and import my cues…flawlessly…in 2 mins (at least 2x faster transfer rate)! I can say that someone got SMOKED in the reliability department. Needless to say, I DO LOVE the editing ability and iPad app (wish i could edit from the iPad directly without having to sync all the time). But from now on until I heard back and undergo more testing with this software, I will continue to use my OTHER program which HAS proven its reliability through many other productions. Thanks for your efforts and I hope you take this well. I will be looking forward to hearing from your support team, and I will continue to review this software.
App wont launch saying that it is damaged! Frustrating!
How long do we have to wait for this to work with Lion? Take it out of the store until it works with the current version of the operating system.
This is by far the best soundboard app Ive found! However, I cannot rate this higher than one star, since it cannot be used in a production environment with any great stability. There is a bug in the app that crashes every time you use the two-finger scroll gesture over a button with a sound loaded (but not necessarily playing). Even an unintentional slight brush of two fingers over the wrong spot will bring down your whole program. This may be one of those "incompatibilities" with Mountain Lion, but this is a deal-breaker for me. Fix this one bug, and I will be more than happy to give a five-star rating!
This app hasnt been updated in a year and it needs to be for Lion. It crashes a lot. For 50 bucks it has to be fixed. Come on folks.
For those of you having problems with this app with Mountain Lion I suggest you go get the trial version of 2.2.1 from the Devs website. So far there are no voice overs since I have the AppStore version installed (it knows Ive purchased the application). Still….. No retina support… the UI makes me want to puke everytime I have to use the app. Other than that 5 STARS!
I use this for major live TV shows. Its solid, stable and does what I need it to do. The editing, although basic, is easy, fast and effective. If I need more intense editing, I go to Pro Tools. I love being able to change levels on cuts so easily. I use an Invovation Launch Pad to trigger. The midi learning work seamlessly. Many of my colleagues use this as well. Its become popular in the multi-camera TV audio community in LA.
This is the best sound board app I’ve ever used. I work many golf tournaments where I play different sounds depending on if the golfers hit good shots or bad shots. The only thing that would make this app perfect for me would be a play count. It would be nice to know how many times I’ve used a sound. Great job with this app guys
This app has such promise to really be the top program for sound cues but it has some horrible flaws. Whenever you adjust the volume slider next to the hot key playing, the whole app comes crashing down, spinning rainbow ball and all. I had 2 songs playing at once with some other hot keys putting in sounds and the whole app crashed again. Would not be so disappointing had I not dropped $50 for the app! Considering I have apps that cost .99 and work perfectly, this is not good. If they would update the app, (I am running Yosemite), and work out those bugs, I would easily give it 5 stars or more because when it works, its great.
I use this app for walk-on and walk-off music at corporate events, as well as for sound effects and cues. I’ve used many different devices for thsi purpose, such as Instant replay and Sports sounds. This is by far the best and simeplest and easiest to use. It could use some more comprehensive features, but as it is now, i use it more than any other sound cue app or device. I highly recommend it for its easy itunes integration, and the iPad remote control.
This program does what it says it does, but don’t expect support from the publisher. I’m posting this on September 21, 2015, I still have an open ticket from August 11, 2015.
I do love this program. In fact, I use it everyday as an on air personality. I’ve been lucky that with each OS update, it still works but as I write this, I’m dowloading El Capitan and PRAYING that it will work once the OS is loaded. I’ve tried using the iPad remote and have had some luck sometimes and then when getting a new iPad and installing it on that iPad, I had no luck. I still have to give it 5 stars though because it does work really well and what it’s meant to do.
